Catherine Rainey, Assurance Manager, is a native Sumner County resident and a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Administration – Accounting. She comes to McMurray, Fox & Associates with over 30 years of accounting experience in both public accounting and industry. She began her career in the healthcare industry and then transitioned to financial institutions where she spent a large part of her career, starting with Arthur Andersen and then working in industry and private consulting. Catherine is a graduate from the ABA National Compliance School and has performed regulatory compliance audits and implementation consulting with financial institutions across the country.
In addition to financial institutions and healthcare, she has experience in most all industries including not for profit organizations, manufacturing, and service industries. Catherine has worked with several public companies on a domestic and international level, including Caterpillar Financial and Sitel. Her public accounting career also included several years working with local CPA firms in Nashville, Tennessee, and Knoxville, Tennessee. Catherine is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Tennessee, a Certified Internal Auditor, and has her Chartered Global Management Accountant certification.
Catherine serves as Assurance Manager for McMurray, Fox & Associates with the assurance team providing audit, review and compilation services for private companies, non-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. Catherine also provides tax preparation and consulting services to meet the needs of her clients.
Catherine enjoys gardening, is an avid “crafter”, and enjoys spending time with her daughter, Amy.
